Norfolk Wherry Brass Youth Band

The Norfolk Wherry Brass Youth Band was formed in 2005.

A substantial grant from Awards for All enabled the purchase of sufficient instruments to get the band off to a good start. Subsequent donations and purchases have ensured that any young person wishing to join the band has an instrument available to them.

Members are accepted between the ages of 8 -18 years old and at any level of playing ability.

Rehearsals are each Tuesday, during term time, from 6pm to 7pm at the Victory Hall, Neatishead, (click the link for a map).

As the Senior Band rehearsal starts at 7.30pm, it is very convenient for members of the Youth Band to stay and listen to the Senior Band rehearse, or, if they are of an appropriate standard, join in the rehearsal.

The musical director is Clive Cordukes, who teaches at a local school and who is also the musical director of Aylsham Band. He is assisted during reheasals by members of Norfolk Wherry Brass.

To obtain more information about the band, or to join the band, or to attend a rehearsal before making that decision, please contact the band Chairman, David Cassady, on 01692 580181. Parents are always welcome to attend rehearsals.
